Mae and Coles Darien Lake Trip

Mae and her friends in New Hyrule were sitting there bored, and really sick and tired of the heat wave going through. "Guys, we have got to go swimming or something!" Mae suggested. "Nah, it's too hot to be going places …" Romeo replied. "This damn heat … I hate it!" Chancellor Cole said. Mae sighed. "If only New Hyrule had those Theme Parks I've heard so much about." Cole looked at Mae confused. "A Theme Park? What's that?" Cole asked. Byrne and Romeo looked at Mae too, puzzled. Mae's mouth dropped, "You guys seriously don't know what a Theme Park is!?" They all shook their heads. "It's a place where there are tons of rollercoasters, rides, and water slides!" Mae exclaimed. Cole shrugged, "Seems like it's for little kids." He said. "But it'll cool us off!" Mae replied. "I wouldn't mind seeing what a Theme Park looked like. Or what a roller coaster is." Byrne replied.  So it was settled, they would find a portal to the Human Realm, and get there.

Everyone was ready. They were going to Darien Lake in the Human World! They had found the portal to the human world and went through. They all woke up in the middle of the Theme Park! Mae jumped up and shouted, "We're here! We actually made it guys!" Then she looked back and saw that Byrne and Cole looked different. They didn't look like the Demon and Lokomo that Romeo and Mae knew … they looked like human teenagers! Byrne looked a bit smaller, but still quite tall, and he still looked like himself, just more human. Chancellor Cole had his ginger hair, his demon horns were gone, and he wore a green t-shirt and red pants. His mustache was also gone, so he really did look like a human teen. Mae smiled, "You two look so different." Cole and Byrne looked at each other with widened eyes, they DID look different!

They all decided to brake off without each other and that they would meet up in Splashtown, where the water rides were. Mae was walking around the park looking for a ride to go on. That was when she was jumped by someone. She looked up and saw Cole sitting on her. "Cole … why are you sitting on my head?" She asked blushing. "It's what I did when I was smaller … back in Hyrule." He said blinking. "WELL YOU WEIGH ABOUT 100 POUNDS NOW AND YOU'RE CRUSHING MY HEAD!" Mae yelled. Then everybody looked at them … that was then they got up and slowly walked away, soon laughing at that.

Soon they came to a ride called "The Predator". It was a wooden rollercoaster and it went fast. Cole was a bit concerned, "It's s-safe right?" He asked. Mae grabbed his hand and pulled him into the line. "Would people go on it if it wasn't?" She asked. Cole sighed and went on it with her. They sat next to each other in the car and were starting. They went up a huge ramp, and then went down and around all these curves. At the end, Cole's hair was all scuffed up and Mae's looked like a mess. They then exited and found another ride called the "Mind Eraser".


Cole gulped and Mae looked back at him, "Something the matter?" She asked. "This one goes upside down and sideways …" He said pointing at the rollercoaster. Mae sighed, "If you don't wanna go on it the all you have to do is say so …" Mae replied a bit disappointed. Cole sighed again, "No, I'll go on it …" He said. The Mind Eraser was just like the Predator only a lot faster and sometimes when you'd go around the curves, it would hurt your head. Mae and Cole got off and had headaches after that, but soon got over them

After that, they went on another rollercoaster called "The Boomerang" and another one called the "Motocoaster". After they rode on those rides, they met Byrne and Romeo in the water park. They decided that all four of them would get a four person tube and go on the Tornado. When you go on it, there's a tube you take that sends you into a funnel shaped tube and you ride it to the bottom. Mae was holding on for dear life and almost fell out. At the end, both Romeo and Byrne fell out of the tube and Cole and Mae laughed.

Next they all went on the lazy river and just let the current pull their tubes along the water. After that they went into the Wave Pool. They all tried to stay together, but ended up getting separated. Mae got out and waited for them all. They all finished up with plenty of other water slides and went back to the dry rides. All four friends went on the "Musical Express" and the "Slingshot". Both Mae and Cole screamed their heads off on the Slingshot. They even had to pay to go on it, and had to sign a paper. If they got hurt, Darien Lake wasn't responsible. After all of the rides they had gone on, there was one last ride to make this day most memorable … "The Ride of Steel".

All four friends made their way to the rollercoaster. It was huge and had a 90 degree drop. Byrne and Romeo sat next to each other and Cole and Mae sat next to each other. They went up the incline and 208 feet, and then sped down the drop! After that, they were all tired and wanted to get some rest. They were headed back to New Hyrule. On the way back to the portal, Mae got one last look at human Cole and Byrne and smiled. She rested her head on Cole's shoulder, "Thanks for going on those rides with me. I had fun." She said. Chancellor Cole smiled. "You're welcome, my dear Mae. Nyee hee hee."
